This project consisted of weathered sandstone and a slate water feature with natural stone products to create an aged look.
We were contacted by these clients to transform the lawn area of their garden into the design presented to us on paper, the sketches were rough and the clients were away from home working daily so details were discussed throughout the project for peace of mind. The existing lawn area was fairly bare and plain compared to the new design.
The ground was excavated deeper than usual for the new turf area on this job and back filled using top quality nutrient rich mixed soil which also had sand mixed in to aid drainage. A larger than average concrete reservoir bowl was also dug out and created for this unique large feature to ensure it doesn’t run out of water. The water feature had already been purchased previously by the client before they called us, so delivery and installation of this heavy rock was down to Green and Ground, we were up for the task and began lifting it with machinery past the house, round the back and setting it safely into place. Our regular electrician also fitted a new double socket to the fence for the water feature to power from which also left a spare plug to use.
